ICD-9-CM codes to ICD-10-CM codes:
ASHA has developed extensive resources to help audiologists and speech-language pathologists prepare, including an online tool to map ICD-9-CM codes to ICD-10-CM codes, mapping spreadsheets, and lists of audiology- and speech-language-pathology-related ICD-10-CM codes. There is also a checklist to help clinicians make an organized transition to ICD-10-CM.

Proposed Regulation Aligning the new Audiology Praxis Score Requirement:
Michigan Department of Community Health, Director's Office, Audiology General Rules, R 338.7 of the Audiology administrative rules requires a passing score of 600 or above on the National Teachers Examination in Audiology or the Praxis Series II Audiology examination. The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) commissions the development of the Praxis Series II examination. The Educational Testing Service (ETS) administers the Praxis Series II examination.
ASHA has informed the Bureau that effective January 1, 2013, exam scores will no longer be reported in the 250-900 range, but in the 100-200 range, with a score of 170 required for passage. As the rule and the passing score requirement of the exam administratior will conflict as of January 1, 2013, R 338.7 will be revised to require that an applicant obtain a "passing score" on the examination.
