Since obtaining the
position mid-2007, the following has occurred:
- Made
contact with Deborah Darcy, ASHA’s Director of Grassroots Advocacy, to
inquire about a CEU opportunity in Michigan through ASHA
- Consulted
with VP Legislation regarding Grassroots Advocacy
- Working
to develop a base of informed members regarding Grassroots Advocacy
Goals for 2008/2009
- Continue
working with ASHA and Legislation committee to increase awareness and
knowledge of Grassroots Advocacy
- Promote
May is Better Speech and Hearing Month 2008
- Assist
as needed with PR
