Vice
President for the Education of the Hearing Impaired
As Vice President for
Education of the Hearing Impaired, I was active in the following ways in 2007:
- Acted
as a liaison between MSHA and Michigan Supervisors of Public School Programs
for the Hearing Impaired.
- Brought
issues and information to the attention of the Executive and Legislative
Committees.
- Recommended
HI-relevant speakers to the Program Committee.
- Held
an HI committee meeting and reception at the March 2007 conference.
- Contributed
to the PAC fundraiser silent auction.
- Participated
in the Strategic Planning process with the Executive Committee.
- Participated
in the budget process;
- Contributed
to the et cetera.
- Moved
the MSHA HI library to my offices in Redford Union Schools.
- Took
care of book requests.
- Did
not purchase new books for the library in 2007, but plan to do so this year.
